This leader's guide will give you a general idea of how
Discipleship Pathway was designed to be used, but please
adapt it for whatever works best in your situation.

All of the lessons can be downloaded from the website,
oubcm.com/resources . Each lesson has a separate leader’s
guide with answers ( in blue italics ) and suggestions specific
to that lesson ( in red italics ).
None of this material is original, it is entirely compiled and
adapted from wiser sources. The title page of each lesson
has a bibliography of where the material for that lesson
came from if you want to dig deeper.
This series begins each lesson by teaching the why and
follows with the how, including some specific methods. If
there is a method you prefer more, teach that instead. As the
famous quote says,
“Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, but principles never do.”
When printing, Discipleship Pathway was designed to be
folded in half into a booklet. Print double sided, flipping on
the short edge. There are page numbers for reference to
make sure the lesson is printed and folded correctly.
This series is designed with new or baby Christians in mind.
Words familiar to church goers, but unfamiliar to the
unchurched, have been limited as much as possible. These
lessons are short and simple.
Ideally, they can be finished within 10-30 minutes, depending on the lesson and if there
are any spiritual disciplines to practice with your disciple.
Below is the suggested order for the lessons, but you know
your context and what is most helpful.
Two topics critical to cover before this series are the gospel and assurance of
salvation. Billy Graham's Steps to Peace with God tract, and
the Navigator’s Beginning with Christ are excellent for those.
1) 7 Minutes with God
2) God is... Hand Illustration
3) Scripture Memory
4) The Local Church
5) Evangelism
6) Personal Relationships
7) Prayer
8) Baptism
9) Ministry Responsibilities
This series is designed to be walked through in one
semester (~11-16 weeks), depending on number of missed
weeks, tangent topics, etc.
If you have any feedback or ideas for future lessons, please
email Noble@oubcm.com .
We are praying for you. Now go make disciples!
