Meet the Ministry and the Staff
HISTORY
In 1923, the Baptist Student Union was formed (now Baptist Collegiate Ministry) at the University of Oklahoma, with the help and commitment of FBC Norman & longtime pastor E.F. "Preacher" Hallock.
By God's grace BCM is made possible through the generous giving and prayer support of alumni donors and a larger network of Oklahoma Baptists.
In 2019, God gave us a new BCM building, and we could not have asked for a better location! The new BCM is between the dorms and many of the fraternity and sorority houses. We are located at:

MISSION
We challenge students to Know, Love, & Glorify God by Declaring the Gospel, Developing qualified laborers & Deploying trained disciple-makers!
We have a presence in every on-campus housing option and many off of campus.
THE METHOD
Students are looking for purpose and a place to belong.
Our ultimate purpose is to know, love, and glorify God. We train students in key areas of discipline such as devotional lives, scripture memory and evangelism.
Our ministry also looks to see that students have a space to belong in bible studies, RENOWN midweek worship, local churches, and discipleship focused on Christ likeness.

We are about EVANGELISM
Spreading the good news about Jesus and his death and resurrection is a priority for us. Have you ever been trained to share the Gospel with the people around you? Are you ready be the ambassador you were made to be?

We are about DISCIPLESHIP
We train students to become reproducing disciples of Jesus who are skilled and possess great character. This often happens in the context of 1-on-1 training or challenge groups. Sometimes both! Ready to grow?

We have a rich legacy of sending students overseas to proclaim the good news to the whole creation. We have partners in the farthest corners of the world that help students fulfill the great commission. Are you next?
