It is a privilege to welcome your student to the University of Oklahoma and to OUBCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry at OU). OUBCM is a student organization devoted to helping students know, love, and glorify God during their college years.

 

We know this season can feel both exciting and anxious. College brings more than exams and assignments — it brings life-shaping decisions about career paths, relationships, values, and direction. These years help form who your student will become.

 

Like you, we want students to learn not only how to make a living, but how to truly live.

College is often when students begin to personally examine, choose, and own their beliefs and priorities. For many, this includes discovering what it means to follow Jesus as an adult with conviction and clarity. At OUBCM, we focus on meaningful relationships and intentional discipleship.

 

We help students:

• Connect with God daily

• Obey His Word fully

• Share the Gospel faithfully

• Equip others to do the same

 

OUBCM exists through local churches and works closely with them because we believe the local church is essential for lifelong faith. We encourage students not just to attend church, but to actively belong and serve.
